Chinese kitchen appliance manufacturer Ningbo Fotile Kitchenware establishes subsidiary in Japan

Ningbo Fotile Kitchenware Co., Ltd., a Chinese kitchen appliance manufacturer, established, the Fotile R&D Asia Co., Ltd. in Osaka City as its research and development base.

Ningbo Fotile Kitchenware Co., Ltd. manufactures and sells high-end built-in kitchen appliances (range hoods, hobs, ovens, microwave ovens, dishwashers, etc.) and is well known for its iconic Chinese brand "FOTILE".  Since its founding in 1995, Ningbo Fotile Kitchenware Co., Ltd. has gone on to establish over 70 sales bases in China and expanded to overseas markets of more than 40 countries.  Its Japanese subsidiary was established mainly for the purpose of research and development. From here on out, it plans to further improve the quality of the group’s products and to develop high-performance and high-end consumer electronics through collaboration with Japanese companies and by leveraging Japanese technology and human resources.

For the establishment of the subsidiary, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided temporary office space in Osaka. Other services included consultations for starting up (corporate registration, tax matters and labor affairs), referral to service providers (real estate, design and law offices) and provision of market information.
