US medical device manufacturer CONMED Corporation establishes corporation in Tokyo

CONMED Corporation
, an American company engaged in manufacturing and sales of a wide range of medical devices such as powered surgical instruments, endoscopic surgical products and orthopedics products, established CONMED Japan KK Japan in Tokyo. Founded in 1970, CONMED Corporation is listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
It employs about 3500 people, and has more than 20 bases around the world including its head office in New York and exports products to more than 100 countries.
CONMED Japan KK plans to strengthen the marketing function, product development and relationship with distributors in Japan. It is planning to launch direct sales of its products.
For the establishment of CONMED Corporation's subsidiary in Japan, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided support including provision of information on marketing certification, office search and the drug price system in Japan.
