Latest Updates Malaysian Halal-certified bento and catering service, Japan Halal Kitchen starts business in Japan

Japan Halal Kitchen (JAHA) opened a Halal-certified bento and catering service in Tokyo in July 2017 with financing from one travel agency and several entrepreneurs from Malaysia.

With the increasing number of visitors from Islamic countries (from both Southeast Asia and the Middle East) and with the increase in demand for Halal-certified food and beverages in anticipation of the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo, the company decided to expand their business into the Japanese market.

With their central kitchen in Omori-Kaigan, Shinagawa district of Tokyo, Japan Halal Kitchen started production in July 2017 and sales in September 2017. In addition to stores, they also plan to sell to tourists who visit Japan through travel agencies and to provide catering services to hotels and event venues. The company also plans to sell products by their own mobile catering.
