Its mainstay product is the truck-mounted knuckle boom crane which is developed into a lineup of about 150 products. Palfinger's Asian headquarters in Singapore has been doing business with Japanese customers via sales agents for long period of time. To strengthen its sales function and customer service in Japan, Palfingers Asian headquarters established Palfinger Japan KK in Yokohama, Kanagawa in March 2016.
For Palfinger's establishment of a subsidiary in Japan, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) lent the manufacturer a temporary office in Kanagawa. JETRO's IBSC's support also included consultation (on registration, visas, tax matters and labor affairs); referral to service providers (administrative scriveners and tax accountants); advice on real estate, human resources and distribution system; and referral to local governments.
