In September 2015, US-based company Xerox, opened its customer care call center in Saitama City, expanding the company’s capabilities in Japan.
The Saitama call center provides Japanese-speaking customer care services for the company’s existing clients in Japan with room to expand for additional clients. Xerox’s customer care services specialize in providing clients with call center support, including online support like webchat and established its Asian headquarters in Singapore with regional offices in Australia, China, India, The Philippines, and Malaysia.
As a long term goal, Xerox plans to continue recruit more customer care operators and establish more call centers in other regions of Japan.
Prior to its entry into the Japanese market, JETRO’s Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided a range of services including temporary office space, detailed information on the potential regions identified by the company. Furthermore, JETRO also linked the company up with the various regional government bodies in Japan, and arranged field trips to candidate call center locations proposed by real estate agencies.
