iwis motorsysteme GmbH & Co.KG, an automotive parts manufacturer and supplier headquartered in Germany is starting its business in Japan in full gear. The company manufactures and supplies automotive engine transmission systems and chain drive systems for supporting devices for vehicles, and established a Japanese base in October 2014 in response to the increasing number of orders from Japanese automotive parts manufacturer and the progress of joint product development projects in Japan.
In order to offer better support to its existing customer base and to create new customers in Asia, the company choses to establish its Japanese arm in Tokyo that gives easily access to its business partners and customers.
In order to help set up the company's Japanese subsidiary, JETRO’s Business Support Center (IBSC) provided a range of support and services including consultations on company registration and taxes, information on serviced offices and market information by JETRO automotive expert.
