Latest UpdatesGerman manufacturer Mounting Systems establishes corporation in Tokyo
Dec 08, 2015
Mounting Systems, a Germany-based manufacturer of equipment for photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems, has established a subsidiary in Tokyo.
The company is engaged in designing and producing mounts and other components for PV panels, as well as the planning and manufacture of solar thermal systems and module frames. It has branched out in more than nine countries. From mega solar power plants to private homes, the company meets a wide range of needs, providing optimum custom-made products for construction sites. It established its Japanese corporation in July 2014 in order to expand into new markets and strengthen its customer support system, and has since launched full operations. It had already accumulated experience in Japan selling PV-related equipment to be used on level ground, and has pushed the envelope by designing versatile products that can stand on uneven surfaces as well.
For the establishment of their local subsidiary, JETRO’s Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided Mounting Systems with consultation on incorporation and provision of information on feed-in-tariffs (FITs) for renewable energy—a statutory system by power companies to buy electric power generated by PV power generation systems at fixed prices. The IBSC also provided assistance with PR activities.
