Latest UpdatesLaunch of certification service by notary for articles of incorporation at Tokyo One-Stop Business Establishment Center
Oct 01, 2015
A new notary service which allows applicants to receive certification of articles of incorporation without going directly to the Notary Office has been launched at the Tokyo One-Stop Business Establishment Center (established jointly by the Japanese government and Tokyo Metropolitan government on April 1, 2015) on the 7th floor of JETRO Headquarters in Tokyo, starting from October 1, 2015.
This service is provided by utilizing the special exemption clause “Certification of Articles of Incorporation Outside of Notary Office” stipulated in Article 12-2 of the Law on National Strategic Special Zones.
The Tokyo One-Stop Business Establishment Center is Japan’s first attempt of its kind at providing one-stop services for the filing procedures necessary in establishing foreign-affiliated businesses and venture businesses. The procedures covered include those for certification of articles of incorporation, company registration, taxes, pension, social insurance and immigration control.
