To establish a stable and self-sufficient energy system, Japan is investing in green energy and green transformation technologies. The target is to achieve a share of renewable energy of 38% by 2030.

The government aims to achieve green transformation by establishing a broad framework, providing incentives for renewable energy use, partially delegating power supply-demand adjustment functions to the market, and encouraging carbon-neutral policies by local governments, aiming for overall energy efficiency and greening.
