Umaji Village Agricultural Cooperative

Umaji Agricultural Cooperative was founded in 1948.
Back in 1948, the popularion of the village counted over 3600; however, as the industry scheme changes, nowadays, less than 1000 people live in the village.
96% of the village is covered by forest and we grow Yuzu in limited land (45 ha). We also grow rice; however, the amount is decreasing.
The uniqueness of Umaji Agrifultural Cooperative is that not only we produce and sell the yuzu juice from this land, but we also sell the yuzu related products. Recently we have built factory for cosmetics where we conduct R&D as well. We hope our business contribute to the village's re-energization.
