Industrial Tourism in Japan
In Okaya, a city of severe cold, Toshimaya produces quality sake using the main ingredient, rice, produced in Nagano. We stick to the basics while our young Kurodo sake workers put all of their passion, love and effort into each process. We use local underground water from Hachibuse Mountain, located behind our brewery. All products are made with carefully selected local Nagano ingredients.
With the rice, water and people of Nagano, we create this local specialty sake that features five tastes-sweet, sour, astringent, spicy and bitter-blended in great harmony.
