SATO YOSUKE

"INANIWA-UDON" is handmade dried noodles, and one of the three major UDON in Japan. It’s been 153 years this year since the establishment of Sato Yosuke, which is as known as a traditional manufacturer. We have inherited the confidential skills, and producing entirely by hand, which was passed down from Inaniwa Kichiemon, the founder of INANIWA-UDON.

Our company started as a cottage industry founded by an artisan and turned into a local-oriented company. Since the opening of the "Sato Yosuke Honten" udon restaurant in 1986, we have developed 7 branches in Akita, 2 branches in Tokyo, 1 branch in Fukuoka, and also developed into a worldwide business.

We keep on advocating "evolution and accession" with rooting in tradition, and always developing along with time, the market and consumption. Because it’s all handmade, we believe that it’s significant to nurture the mind of "to develop people = inheriting skills and spirit."

At the main branch of Sato Yosuke that opened in 2008, we have a restaurant, a souvenir shop, and a factory which you can actually watch INANIWA-UDON being made. Also we offer a *"UDON making workshop" and *"UDON making and cooking workshop" in which you can participate. We wish you'll feel our "inheriting skills and spirit" through the facilities here and discover Sato Yosuke’s "INANIWA-UDON" world.
