The Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel

The Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel is one of the world's largest underground discharge channels, which takes water overflow underground from small-to mid-size rivers such as the Naka, Kuramatsu, and Oootoshifurutone and directs it to the Edogawa River through a 6.3-kilometer long tunnel that runs 50 meters below ground.
