For ITOCHU to capture demand and create new values in ASEAN healthcare market, it is important to acquire new functions through co-creation with a local partner. We are honored to participate in this Innovation Program this year, and hope to have a great collaboration to create synergy and a new business together.

ITOCHU’s Challenge

Challenges ITOCHU, a Japanese trading and investment firm has been engaged in healthcare business globally over 50 years, and recently has been paying more attention to the ASEAN market, where we believe it has a huge potential to become much larger as their economy has been growing rapidly. We have already started to penetrate into this market through serveral investments in such as a Singaporean startup providing SNS platform for medical doctors in ASEAN.
Challenge1: Co-creating a supporting platform for medical doctors in ASEAN
As ITOCHU has a platform for supporting medical doctors in ASEAN such as clinical knowledge sharing, learning facilitation etc thorough our affiliated company, we would like to have a partner providing services for medical doctors to add more value and co-create a unique platform to our members of medical doctors.
Challenge2: Collaboration with DTx companies
ITOCHU also owns CRO company with more than 1,000 employees and has provided clinical trial services mainly in Japan over 20 years with DTx(Digital Therapeutics) clinical trial experience as well through them. We are seeking a DTx vender in ASEAN who would like to expand their business in Japan as we could support NDA(New Drug Application) and sales and marketing in Japan.
Collaboration Needs ITOCHU seeks a potential partner who
  • provides service or platform supporting medical doctors in ASEAN market like online consultation, teleradiology, clinical decision support(CDS)
  1. Opportunity to hold a deep discussion for business collaboration.
  2. Opportunity to leverage ITOCHU's healthcare related assets uch as more than 300K medical doctors network and CRO function etc.
  3. Based on the results of the above discussion, ITOCHU is very welcome to discuss funding or capital alliance if the partners would.
