Yamasa Choshi factory

In 1645, Yamasa started brewing soy sauce in Choshi, Chiba. Since then, Yamasa soy sauce has been known widely as the products of its high quality. At the end of the Edo period, middle of 19th century, soy sauce was appointed as the best grade soy sauce by the Shogunate for that quality. Now, Yamasa Choshi factory has the 1st and 2nd factory in the area around 23 hectare (about the size of 4 Tokyo domes), where soy sauce and soy sauce related seasonings have produced and shipped out. Yamasa Choshi accepts the plant tour, which customers can see Moromi (Brewing) tank and fermentation process. Also, customers can buy Yamasa products at the store in the plant.

*Only the 20 minutes video viewing is available when the factory is closed.
