Ushikubi Pongee Silk Hakusan-Koubou

Traditional woven fabric that has been produced in the Shiramine District at the foot of Mt. Hakusan for over 800 years. Preserving the time-honored techniques, the company manufactures products using an integrated approach from thread-making by hand-reeling silk off dupion cocoons through to weaving. You can observe the manufacturing processes which bring this fabric into being.
