Umekama U-mei Kan

At the Ume-Kama U-mei-Kan Museum, guests from around the world can learn about the history and types of kamaboko with large-screen explanation videos in four languages. Guests can also watch experts crafting traditional art kamaboko, and the process of vacuum-packing products. With a reservation, guests can try their own hand at making their own decorative kamaboko in the shape of a red snapper. Guests can also try a variety of kamaboko samples, including Toyama's unique kombu kelp-wrapped or red-wrapped kamaboko.
