Showa Denko KK Kawasaki Plant produces and sells an abundant lineup of unique technologies and products supported by comprehensive technological skills covering product bases and applications to meet needs for various high functional chemicals utilizing its long tradition of product development and production in the field of organic and inorganic chemicals. It is located in the Kawasaki area. We have commercialized chemical recycling of used plastic at the largest scale in Japan and promote it to contribute to forming a resource recycling society.

From the East Exit of JR Kawasaki Station, about a 20-minute ride by Rinko Bus “22 Waterfront District bound for Mitsui Wharf"
Get off at “JX Nippon Oil & Energy Kawasaki Plant-mae," and walk for two minutes.
Enter from the “Ogimachi Gate."
* If you visit by chartered bus, please enter from the “Showa Gate" next to JR Showa Station.
* The JR Tsurumi Line runs no train at the proper time for tours.

Working days and hours Monday to Friday; 10:30 - 12:00, 13:30 - 15:00
Closings Saturdays, Sundays, Golden Week, Obon holiday, the year-end and New Year holidays. May be closed on other days as well.
Visitor capacity 1 – 40 (guests numbering 1 – 4 can only be accommodated on Wednesdays from 13:30)
Time required for a tour 90 min (including time moving through facility)

Other conditions - Please confirm the availability of the tour on the preferred date by phone. You can apply for a tour if available.
- A list of participants (nationality, name, position, etc.) must be presented for application.
- An interpreter must be arranged by visitors.
- The facility is not barrier-free. There are steep stairs in the exhibition rooms. We have no elevator.
- Photography is allowed in limited areas.
- Video-recording is prohibited.
