Industrial Tourism in Japan
Masuda Shuzo
Manufacturing sake under the name of Masuizumi.
Located in the Iwase area of Toyama City, between the Sea of Japan and the peaks of Mount Tateyama. This combination of the best of both sea and land was why the area flourished with trade via the Kitamaebune ships in the Edo period. The brewery is located in a district lined with classic architecture of shipping agent houses and traditional restaurants, evocative of an age of prosperity.
