Kyouhouen

Chikuma City of Nagano Prefecture is known for its ANZU production. It is Japan's top ANZU producing area, and was selected as the first private trip destination for the Japanese Emperor and Empress. Our farm, "Kyouhouen," has the largest production capacity of the apricot farms in the area. At Kyouhouen, we use organic fertilizer and a minimal amount of pesticides. Anzu are picked and selected by hand to be processed or consumed fresh, as the harvesting period is short and the skin of the fruit is fine and delicate. We have our own factory near the farm, so that ANZU products can be carefully and individually produced.
Many people are often surprised that ANZU taste completely different from apricots. It is characterized by a rich acidic flavor. Please try our ANZU and experience this unique taste for yourself!
