Honcho Co., Ltd. (Honcho Picklery)

Founded in 1908, Honcho Picklery has been making traditional tsukemono (Japanese pickles) from the delicious vegetables native to the town of Shonai.
The wooden barrels used in our storehouse were made more than 200 years ago. All pickling is done using sake lees.
Our warehouse is open to visitors free of charge, and it’s possible for guests to see the tsukemono as they are actually in the process of being pickled.
We have a shop selling our products right next to the warehouse, and samples are available for guests to taste.
We have ISO9001 certification.
