MANAKA is a brand that makes things as a new form, using traditional elements and technology so as to be easily adopted in modern life, from our desire to want to convey Japanese traditional culture to posterity.

And We have participated in various events and exhibitions in various countries. MANAKA kimono products were created for the purpose of making people better know about the culture of kimonos, first starting with something easy to wear and that can raise the curiosity of people.

Fabric but also dye. The MANAKA Kimono products is special for various reasons. Silk as a fabric is very important, but MANAKA wanted to make the Kimono products even more special and unique! For this reason, the brand started a collaboration with a laboratory in Tango (Kyoto), famous for its fabrics and for its ability in dyeing silk with over 35 years of experience. The original fabric of the MANAKA clothes is treated with the “Tango Blue” dyed by the hand of Craftsman. It is probably the first “Tango Blue” fabric in the kimono sector and this is the first time that this fabric has been used for a clothes.
It is the infinite and unique color of the Tango ocean, north of Kyoto, a tint with a level of robustness greater than 4 which, however, can be seethrough, intense and brilliant.
- Uniquness of the product
- The scarf of MANAKA is Tango Chirimen and 100% silk. Tango chirimen is a very fine silk fabric. By making the luster of silk stand out, it has a supple touch that is not possible with ordinary silk fabrics, good dyeability, and diffuses light to create rich deep shades. A scarf with a beautiful shade made using Tango blue dyeing technology.It is probably the first “Tango Blue” fabric in the kimono sector and this is the first time that this fabric has been used for a clothes.“Tango Blue” is the infinite and unique color of the Tango ocean, north of Kyoto.
