JETRO Biolink Forum at BioJapan 2009

The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will organize JETRO BIOLINK FORUM 2009, an international biotech business and networking event, during BioJapan 2009(Oct 7-9, 2009)To other site, Asia’s largest biotech event.


BIOLINK FORUM will feature a symposium, Cluster & Company Networking Reception and business partnering (through BioJapan’s Business Partnering Matching System). Details and registration information are provided below. (Participants in BIOLINK must also pre-register with BioJapan 2009To other site.)

I.Symposium

Prominent speakers in the biotech field will discuss current topics and key issues facing Japanese biotech ventures. Simultaneous English-Japanese interpretation provided.

II. Cluster & Company Networking Reception

Representatives from biotech clusters in Japan and around the world will present the attractive features of their clusters and highlight key companies through poster displays. Clusters are invited to apply as poster exhibitors (see below). Last year’s reception had more than 350 attendees, including participants from 59 biotech clusters in 19 countries.

Poster exhibitors (open to biotech clusters only)
Participating clusters will be provided with a table, wall display area and sign board (one set per cluster).

Requirements for participation

1. Clusters are responsible for setting up their own poster and brochure display.
2. At least one person from the cluster must remain at poster display area during event.
3. Must take part in follow-up surveys/questionnaires by JETRO.
4. Must utilize the BioJapan Business Matching System. (Participating clusters will automatically be registered in the BioJapan 2009 Business Partnering Web Matching System.)

Important notes for application
-Multiple applications from one cluster will be treated as one application.
-If the number of applicants exceeds the maximum number of exhibitor spaces, JETRO will select exhibitors based on a fair geographical distribution.
-JETRO will provide detailed information to selected participants by end of August 2009. (Completing an application does not guarantee a display space at the reception.)

III. Business Partnering

BIOLINK participants will have free access to BioJapan’s Online Business Matching System, which allows exhibitors and visitors to prearrange business meetings to be held during the event (Oct 7-9, 2009, 10:00-1700). Once an appointment is made through the system, meeting space will be reserved at the venue.
