Strength of the region's industries and economy

Known as the “sunny and green country”, Miyazaki Prefecture is characterized by its rich natural environment, expansive land, agricultural products raised in a sun-drenched environment, and the easygoing but hard-working temperament of its residents raised on its rich and fertile lands. In addition, with an eye on future generations, Miyazaki Prefecture is promoting solar power as a next-generation energy source, and a number of other projects are currently in progress such as development of a medical industry base.
