Vidyo, Inc., a US supplier of videoconferencing technologies, has established Vidyo Japan K.K. in Tokyo
In October 2011, Vidyo, Inc.
, a US manufacturer of videoconferencing systems, established Vidyo Japan K.K., in Tokyo. Already an active supplier in North America and Europe, Vidyo established its new company in Japan to address the important Asian markets.
Vidyo supplies next-generation videoconferencing systems that make possible high-quality video interchange even in internet environments of unstable quality. Such systems are the result of Vidyo’s development of VidyoRouter architecture that reduce lag between image and voice, a problem that plagues conventional video conferencing systems by eliminating MCU.
In order to support the company, JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided temporary office space, consultation on business start-up procedures such as company registration, visas, tax procedures, and labor matters, and provided information on administrative scriveners, tax accountants, certified accountants, banks, employment agencies and real estate agencies.
IBSCs are located in Japan's major business hubs (Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe and Fukuoka) and provide one-stop support and service to foreign firms seeking to set up or expand business in Japan. The centers, which provide free temporary office space, consultation with expert advisors and access to a wealth of business information, tailor support according to the specific needs and phase of development of each firm.
