We present laws and ordinances documents for foreign firms and individuals on our "Reports and Statistics". To obtain customs tariff information, "Japan Customs" (The Customs and Tariff Bureau) offers outline of customs procedures, tariff and duty systems, trade statistics and recent changes to customs systems and procedures.
Q2 How do I obtain information about trade fairs and exhibitions?
JETRO offers business partnering events and seminars in Japan and overseas. You can get information about trade fairs and exhibitions held internationally in "Trade Fair Information(J-messe)".
Q3 How can I find a Japanese partner company?
Search for business partners in Japan or globally via "Business Matching Database(TTPP)". You can search thousands of proposals by product or region, and register your company or product information for free.
Our offices carry libraries where you can search for business partners using directories, online databases as well as CD-ROMs.
Q4 I want to set up a business in Japan. Where do I begin?
JETRO provides access to information about the Japanese investment environment, such as regulatory reform, case histories of successful direct investments, including legal procedures, etc. on "Investing in Japan".
Q5 I would like to work for JETRO. How can I apply?
JETRO welcomes flexible, global-minded individuals, regardless of race or nationality. Non-Japanese applicants, however, need to have excellent (near-native) fluency in Japanese, as one of JETRO's core activities is providing support to Japanese firms.
